Bruised Ear

Kelsey was playing in our bed the other morning and kept trying to climb off. I reached to change the channel (thinking she just didn't want to watch the news with me) and in that split second she reached over and fell on Lou's nightstand. After soothing her tears I noticed this nasty bruise forming.

How is Kelsey's ear now? My daughter is learning to walk and fell this morning hitting her ear on the rocking chair. Her ear looks just like Kelseys now and I wanted to know how it looks now.

Her ear is fine now. It healed up in about 1 1/2 -2 weeks, but when it was almost all beter, she fell and bruised the same one again. So in total it took about 3 1/2 weeks for it to totally be gone. She'll be fine......

Thanks for your timely response. My daughter's ear has healed completly now(what a relief!). This learning to walk stage is a stressful one. Thanks again - you calmed my fears.

What did you do for your daughters ear to help it heal? Did she need to see a Dr? My daughter just hurt her ear while in bed. I have ice on it but the swelling hasnt gone down yet. Any ideas?

As ugly as it is/was...all we did was ice it. It took about 1 1/2 weeks but it healed up all by itself. Good Luck! I know it looks horrible.

My son fell today and hit his head on the edge of our coffee table. His ear looks just like that if not worse. He won't let me ice it. It's good to see that it isn't really as bad as it looks. I wasn't sure if I should bring him to the Dr. or not.
