Riding her bike....

Lou's sister gave this to us and it has been sitting in the garage for her to get big enough. While we were waiting for a friend to stop by today, Lou took it out and put her on it and pushed her down to the cul-d-sac. She was loving it. She's not looking at the camera in the first picture because she was trying to put her feet on the pedals (not quite big enough to do that yet)

Isn't she just too darn cute?!?!?!?

New Words...

She has so many of them. I know that I need to try and get her talking on video, but she always get shy when I turn it on. Her cutest new word is Appppp-ple. She actually started saying this prior to us leaving for our Napa trip, but I didn't get the chance to post it. Other new words include snack, night night, mama (not new, but she uses it all the time now!!!), sit, cheese (when she holds the camera), water, shoe, Jay-dee (our dog), mine (not so thrilled with that one), swing, bite (like she wants a bite of my bagel...she took my last bite this morning), pig & milk. I'm sure there are others but that's all I can think of right now. She also knows some animal sounds too. She knows moo for a cow, tweet tweet for a bird, neigh for a horse, quack quack for a duck, roar for a lion, & woof woof for a doggie. It just amazes us how much she talks now!

First Hair Cut....

okay, so not really a cut, but a trim. I've noticed for a while that her bangs (her second set) were hanging over her eyes. I thought it was going to be so simple just to snip snip and be done. Yeah....I'm laughing as I write this because I was oh so wrong. I got the scissors, put her in her high chair, set the camera up to videotape it, and turned it on. I look like such a bad mommy coming at my daugter with scissors and at one point almost cut half of her bangs off. She moved as I was getting ready to snip, good thing I stopped the cutting motion quickly. All done now and she looks cute and can see!!

Playdate with Friends...

Since today is my nephew's birthday, he also thought of this as his birthday party!! I was initially worried about having a playdate here, but it was nice and small and we had a good time. There were 8 moms (plus Meli, my friend's sister) The kids played really well and ate cupcakes, brownies and other junk (aaahhhhh!!)

Bathtime with the boys!

Sunday at the Park..

A HUGE thank you goes out to my good friends Tricia and Jeff for meeting me and my "crew" at the park on Sunday. I knew with having the two big kids, 4 & 5, I needed to do something to let them burn some energy. After rounding everyone up in the minivan, (yes I said minivan. It's on loan from my sister while I'm watching her boys) we drove to the park. About 5 minute after we got there we encountered a brief rain shower. Then Tricia, Jeff, and Maddie arrived to help me keep eyes and arms on my 3 kiddos. We went down the slides......
climbed on the rock wall.....

and swung on the swings.....

Kelsey and Maddie on the bench
It was enough to burn some, but not all, of their energy off!

She looks like she's getting so old here...

Playing Ball with the boys

Two of our nephews are staying with us since this weekend. Brian is playing tee-ball now, so "Uncle" Lou took him out back and was tossing the ball to him.

When he made contact, Lou chased him around the bases.
Kelsey wanted daddy to teach her too

Learning to share (well, not really)

With her cousins here, Kelsey has learned a new word..."mine" When we first came downstairs the other morning, they did a really good job playing together. The boys even let Kelsey draw on her scribble board with them.

6th Picture Post...

I got this meme from my sister Cindy. I usually don't do these, but figured it would prob end up being a picture of Kelsey, so here it is.

In order to play, you go to the 6th folder in your My Pictures file and then choose the 6th picture in that folder and post it. This is a picture of Kelsey in January when she first was having rice cereal.

So curious...

I decorated for Fall the other night while Kelsey was sleeping. The next day, she noticed all the leaves around the house, but most of all she was fascinated with the jack-o-lantern I put on the corner shelf. She really thought it was cool when I lit it up at night (forgot to take a pic)

Swinging before bedtime...

Some nights we take Kelsey outside after dinner to swing, while she's "supposed" to be drinking her milk. Lou took her out tonight and she had sooo much fun. (notice that it's getting dark out and it was only 7!)
After swinging by herself for a while, she likes Lou and I to swing with her. I took the following pictures while on a swing hanging out with my family.

Back to the park...

This past week we were finally able to rejoin our group since swim lessons are over!! Monday found us at the park for a baby shower for one of my friends. Last time I went to the park, Kelsey was walking, but not really. This time I was ALL OVER the place following her. Park time has a whole new meaning now, no longer can I sit and socialize while Kelsey just meanders around.

Here she is thinking she is strong like her mommy and trying to move the cooler by herself. Her friend Summer is holding it still so she doesn't go anywhere. This is one time when she decided to take off running (I stuck the camera out in front of her and snapped a pic)
This is my friend Megan, who has become one of Kelsey's best buds. Previously Kelsey really didn't let anyone hold her but me. Megan and I had the kids at swim lesson for 5 weeks together, so Kelsey has totally bonded with her!! She even chose Megan over me at the gym this past weekend, hmmmmph!

Dancin' time....

Kelsey loves to dance now. Last week at G/G Mcd's house she was boogieing down. She's so cute, she bends her knees and occasionally throws a little arm movement in too.

This week I started playing music in the house after nap time. She loved it and would go over to the speakers and dance there. I got her on video dancing to some "Bone Pony" (a band that used to play in AUburn that I loved) It's hard to video her dancing, b/c I usually dance with her.

Peek-a-boo

Can you believe I am 14 months old??!?!?!?!?
